Cheese Frankie Recipe, a popular Indian wrap filled with generously grated cheese to satisfy your hunger and tickle your taste buds.
Ingredients:-
For Filling:-
Oil, 2 Sliced Onions ,
1 Capsicum/ Colored Bellpeppers
1 tsp. Chaat Masala
For Patty:-
1 Large Bolied & Mashed Potatoes
1 cup Boiled Green Peas
Coriander Leaves
Dry Spices 1 tsp.
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp.
Frankie Masala 1 tsp.
Dry Mango Powder ΒΌ tsp.
Ginger-Chilli Paste 2 tbsp.
Corn Flour
Salt to taste
For Frankie Rotis:-
All purpose flour/Wheat Flour/Plain Flour
Oil
For Roasting and Assembly:-
Butter Cheese Spread/Mayonnaise/Grated Cheese Chaat Masala
Frankie Masala Recipe:-
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin seed powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
2 tsp Aamchur or raw mango powder
1/4 tsp sanchal or black salt
Mix all these powders and Frankie Masala is ready.
Method:-
Filling:- Take some oil in a pan and saute the onions and the capsicums in it.
Add chaat masala, mix it well and turn off the flame.
Patty:- In a bowl take the potatoes, green peas, coriander leaves, dry spices, turmeric powder, Frankie Masala, dry mango powder, ginger-chilli paste, corn flour and salt as per taste.
Mix these ingredients together while smashing the peas a little bit.
Take some oil in a pan and let it heat.
Apply some oil on your palms and shape the mixture in flat and oval shaped patties. Roast these patties in oil till brown in colour on both the sides.
Frankie Rotis:- Mix the flour, salt and some oil and make a dough.
Roll out the rotis and half roast them on a pan without butter or oil till light brown spots start appearing on them.
Roasting and Assembly:- Heat some butter in a pan and warm up the rotis on it.
Take the rotis out and spread some cheese spread on them, sprinkle chaat masala, place the onion and capsicum salad, then the patties (you can mash the patties as an alternative method) and roll the frankie as shown.
